This is the whole story of Aurora slot cars.
About a dozen years ago I discovered the world of toy collectors and began searching for the slot cars I had enjoyed as a boy. I soon found that many collectors knew a lot about the cars but very little about the companies that made the cars. As a historian by trade, I began to seek out the men who ran my favorite company, Aurora, and asking them to tell their stories. I interviewed executives, artists, sculptors, engineers, and advertising men. The result was this book.
The book also has photos of many rare cars(some that never went into mass production) and contains a descriptive guide to every slot car Aurora issued up to the closing of the original company in 1977.
